Shaker Card Tutorial.

Hello everyone
I thought I would do a simple tutorial for you using Lynda's Dies to make a cute simple shaker card.
You will need:
Lynda’s black , white card.
Sunflower song paper boutique backing paper.
Doily die set.
Larger circle die.
Butterfly set.
Glitter & shaker gems

Die cut the black card using the black card and Doily mat die.
Die cut the white card using the decorative circle topper.
Die cut the circle from the middle of the white card.

Using a bigger circle die  cut your acetate

Find what you want to use as your shaker material.
Try and match the colours from your paper.

Glue the acetate circle onto the topper circle.

Then glue to your black backing plate.
Then using decorative paper from Sunflower song cut
The butterflies out.
Cut the back plate of the butterfly from white card

Mat and layer your butterfly
Using backing paper you like back a 6x6 square card
Add your beautiful circle on to your card base.

Then glue your butterfly onto your card
Finish as you wish with gems etc.

Thank you for joining us here
I hope you enjoy making this card.
Happy Crafting.

British Wild AT Heart

British Wild AT Heart

Hello everyone,
Today I want to share a card that I made from the new dvd rom called British Wild At heart.
This is a new collection with images from the wonderful Pollyanna Pickering.
After looking through the images I decided to use the wonderful deer image for my card.

You will need:
British Wild At heart dvd rom

Foam Pads
Double sided tape
Wet glue

Choose an image and three papers from the dvd rom. I chose one fully patterned paper and two papers that had a pattern at the side only.

Then decide which two you would like to use for the base and front fold of the 8” by 8” card and the paper that is left is for the 6” by 6” card.
Score the front of the 8” by 8” white card at 4” and the 6” by 6” white card at 3”.

This will make both of these into a z fold card shape.
Next cut all the layers out that are needed to make this design:
Black card:

1 x 19.5cms by 19.5cms
1 x 19.5cms by 9.5cms
1 x 14.5cms by 14.5cms
2 x 7cms by 14cms

Base paper:

1 x 19cms by 19cms
Front fold paper:

1 x 19cms by 9cms
6” by 6” card paper:

1 x 14cms by 14cms
2 x 13.5cms by 6.5cms

Matt and layer each of these together, for example the black card measuring 19.5cms by 19.5cms is a base layer for the paper measuring 19cms by 19cms

Next using wet glue attached the layers to the card bases. You will see which layer goes where due to the size of them. Add foam pads to the topper as this will add dimension to the card.
Here is a picture of the 8” by 8” card with matts and layers on.

Here is a picture of the 6” by 6” card with matts and layers on.

Now both cards are decorated it’s time to put them together.
On the 6” by 6” card put some double sided tape onto the back part of the card that has the image on and some onto the back of the right hand panel.
Position this onto the 8” by 8” (please see picture for ref)
All that is left is to decorate the card using the flowers and leaves die set and the pieces of paper that you have left, adding a pearl to the centre of the flowers.
Please remember to share your makes with us on our facebook page Creative Friends

Here's Nikki with this months recipe. Enjoy.

Hi there,

Thank you for playing along with our February recipe. We will have one every month for you to play along with.
We would love to see your take on it.
For this month I have created this card,

Here are the ingredients that you need to create this card,

It's a nice simple card to create. I just love the black and white look on a project.
Stunning results every time.
Here is how you make the card,
Die cut all of the parts that you need for your project. I've used black and white to make the dies 'pop'.
Start by layering up the large floral die.
Then fix into place on your card base.
Add the greeting of your choice.
Add a butterfly (only fix the body in place as this will give movement to your card and allow the butterfly to stand out from your card).

I LOVE the dies, such a great cut and a brilliant look to your projects every time. Watch this space to hear news of new dies being added to the Creative Crafting World family very soon.

Remember, there's time to join in with our crafty anything goes challenge... You will find the post pinned up to the top of the page...

Happy crafting xxx

Circle Spinner Tutorial.

 Hi Everyone,

I'm here today with a wee tutorial for you all on how to make a circle spinner card.

I thought it was something a bit different but it works well incorporating Pollyanna Pickerings latest British Wildlife at Heart with Paper Boutique Dies.

The New British Wildlife at Heart Launches on Create and Craft TV on Sunday 25th February with a 2 hours show at 12 till 2 and then again at 5pm. Lynda will be on with Pollyanna as her Special Guest.
 My Recipe

Pollyanna Pickering British Wildlife at Heart DVD Rom. Papers nad Image.
2 x 1 pences
3D Foam.
Pearls from stash.
2 x Nesting Circle Dies with a 1 cm gap in between them.

First Cut out the image that you are going to use and also the square of paper for the outside of the card.

Next die cut the main circle so you have both nested into each other.
You add the 3d foam at this point making sure that there is room for the pennies to spin round the card.

Add a small amount of 3d foam to the pennies to make a sandwich.
Next is slipping the  pennies in between your 2 circles.
Finally I have made a pretty floral embellishment for the spinner section.
Here is the final creation.
I hope you enjoyed this fun tutorial.

Remember that we have a blog challenge running now. It started on the 15th and runs till the 14th of March. You can find it here.
