Paper Boutique Dies...

 Hi Everyone,

Hope you are all going to be having a crafty weekend.

Im here today with a card I have made using Paper Boutique Goodies.  I have popped in a couple of wee tips on the post as well.

 Creative Crafting World Goodies Used.
Butterfly Garden Topper.
(Own items Letter and Number Dies, holographic card and brads.)

For the flowers, I used the floral dies and then popped a hole inthe middle of each flower. I next wet the back of the flowers and then curled them so they would be  more dimensional. I waited till they had dried then popped the pearl brad though them.

My second tip is to die cut a
contrasting color and use it for the centres of the die cuts like I have with the tulips and the butterfly. It just adds a different look to your die cut.
Thanks for dropping by today, dont forget that the New Blog Challenge will be arriving next week!!!

Card Design Inspiration From Lisa

Hello Everyone,
I thought I would share another card design with you.
I have used this design on a couple of cards and each time I have been really happy with the result. I also sometimes like to alter the measurements of the matts and layers when using this design for a slightly different look.
The instructions on this post are the measurements for the first picture using the paper boutique enchanted Christmas collection.

You will need:

The paper boutique Enchanted Christmas collection – Icy Breeze
Creative crafting 7" x 10" card
Lynda’s white card
Red card
Red ribbon
Foam pads
2 different sized Flower dies
Flourish die
2 different sized Circle dies

First of all choose four different pattern papers for this design and a topper from the Icy Breeze paper pads.

Decide on which paper you would like as the main paper.
Cut this at 24.5 cms by 17 cms.

Next cut all the matts and layers using the following measurements:

White card:
1 x 18 cms by 6 cms
1 x 12 cms by 6 cms
1 x 10 cms by 5.5 cms

Patterned papers:
1 x 17.5 cms by 5.5 cms
1 x 11.5 cms by 5.5 cms
1 x 9 cms by 5 cms

Matt and layer these together (patterned paper onto the white card)

Glue these on to the main patterned paper by over laying them slightly, please see picture for ref.

Next attached the red ribbon to the card, placing it slightly over the matts and layers.

You can now attach this to the base card using glue, leaving a thin white edge all around.

Using the circle dies cut the largest one out in white card and the smaller one in one of the patterned papers.

Matt and layer these up with the topper using foam pads.

Glue this to the card covering the bottom of the two smaller layers. Please see picture for ref.

Finally using the flower dies cut out the largest one in red card and then the smaller one needs one in red card and one in white card. Layer these together to form a flower. Attach the flower to the card along with two white flourishes and a pearl for the centre of the flower.

If you try this design, please share your makes with us.
