Enchanted Christmas Carton Tutorial.

 Hi Everyone,

Hazel (Didos) here with an idea for you for a festive gift using the super cute Enchanted Christmas Stamp Set.

Creative Crafting World Supplies.

Own Supplies.
Carton Die, Prismacolor Pencils, Glue, glitter glue and ribbon.
I have had this carton die for a while now and decided it would be great  for popping some sweeties in as gifts at the Christmas Table.  You could make a box if you dont have a die like this or use a different one if you have any.

I have used Lynda's lovely kraft card for the make as its really on trend this year with festive makes.
I stamped the images onto the card. Then I restamped them on post it notes and cut round them. This is so I could mask them for adding more trees to my Wonderland. I stamped at the top of the notes so they still had some sticky stuff on them to cling to the kraft card.
I stamped lots of trees behind the original images to make my forest.
Next came the fun. Colouring the images in and bringing them to life. I used prismacolor pencils on the kraft card to make the picture really pop. I wanted to make my Gnome stand out from the box so he was stamped on another piece of card and them added with 3D foam.
I finally added glitter glue to the baubles on the trees and made the box up.
I hope this tutorial has given you a wee idea for some festive last minute makes in time for the Big Day,

Thanks for dropping by,

Hazel xx

When You Need Inspiration....

Hi Everyone,

Its Hazel (Didos) here today with some hints and tips for when you need inspiration for making your cards.

Sometimes you just sit down to craft and the inspiration isn't there as to what to do and where to put your toppers and papers.  Have you ever thought about using a sketch to help you out?
I have made up a sketch (Feel free to use it) and also some cards to show you that using it doesnt need to be difficult and with a few extras it can look totally different.

Its quite easy to follow a sketch and if you are struggling for ideas for different looking cards its a great way to get crafty.

With the Creative Crafting World Ranges the papers and cards always
coordinate beautifully together so that takes part of the worry out of it for you.

For my first card I used the ever so cute Paper Boutique Icy Breeze Collection.   I matted up the card with Lynda's White Card too for a fresh Crisp Effect. I followed the sketch exactly here and added a couple of embellishments to finish it off.
You can use sketches with the Amazing Pollyanna Pickering Collections as well. This Pheasant and the papers are from The Sketchbook IV Woodland Birds Series.
I have added to this card Lyndas Kraft Card , flowers from this die set  and the Thinking of You from this die set.
For the last card I rotated the sketch 90 degrees so it looks slightly different.

I  have used the super cute Hint of a Hoot Collection for this card.

My cards were made using 6 x 6 and 8 x 8 cardstock.

I hope this post has helped you to think more about how top work on the layout of your cards. Please feel free to use the sketch.

Thanks for dropping by,

Hazel (Didos)

New Circle Dies Tutorial

Here is the card that I want to share a little tutorial for with you.....

Here is what you will need to create the card,
Paper Boutique Dies - Thinking of You
Paper Boutique Dies - Flowers & Leaves
Pollyanna Pickering DVD - African Safari

First of all you will need to print off the topper that you want to use onto white card and die cut the doily, flowers and leaves from the kraft card.
Next shape the flowers & leaves.
To shape the flowers emboss the reverse side of each petal with an embossing tool, flip the flower over and emboss the center of the petal.
To shape the leaves, just gently crease along the pre scored line in the middle of each leaf (the dies score this line as you cut the leaf).
The stamen are shaped by embossing the center of each one.
Now the fun part - time to assemble the card!
I finished the card off with some blue gems as they matched the blue from the topper but the card looks stunning without them too.
Have a go at creating this project and let us know how you get on. We'd love to see what you create.

Happy crafting

Inspiration from Jayne

Jayne has used the new Paper Boutique dies to make a bouquet. here is her recipe we hope it inspires you.

Using the 160gsm has given me more chance of getting movement. As we all know the dies cut like a dream 💗 I've used the large outer die to make the posy base (4layers), then padded & topped off with printed card from the perfect companions disc. Rolled craft card for the stem, then covered. Used one of the doily dies cut twice, cut into quarters & made it go larger. Plenty of movement in the printed card. I've also used some of the red card from the coloured card pack. 💗

We hope this inspires you and would love to see what you make using the dies so don't forget to join us in our Creative Friends Facebook Group.

Paper Piecing Tutorial

Paper Piecing Tutorial.
Its Hazel (Didos) From the Paper Boutique Design Team and I'm here today to show  how to do paper piecing.
Paper Piecing is a great way to be able to use your stamps but not colour in. So if you have wanted to get some of the Paper Boutique Stamps but you don't like colouring or don't know where to start then paper piecing could be just for you!!!
Paper Piecing is cutting and adhering patterned (or plain paper) to a previously stamped image to decorate it.
I have used the A Hint of a Hoot Set here.
Firstly grab all the bits and pieces that you will need.
Stamp your image onto your card. It doesn't matter what type of ink pad you use.
Next stamp the image onto the patterned papers.
Cut your image out with scissors or a craft knife. Whatever you are comfortable with.  I ended up using both as my birdys had tiny wings and beaks so needed a precision knife to cut them.
Finally glue the patterned paper shapes you have cut out over the initial stamped image and there you have it a paper pieced image.
I love the effect you get with paper piecing as your papers and stamped image match each other perfectly.
I hope you enjoyed my wee tutorial.  I would love to see your paper piecing too. Pop it on the Creative Friends Page on Facebook and we can all inspire each other.
