Its Hazel (Didos) here today with some hints and tips for when you need inspiration for making your cards.
Sometimes you just sit down to craft and the inspiration isn't there as to what to do and where to put your toppers and papers. Have you ever thought about using a sketch to help you out?
I have made up a sketch (Feel free to use it) and also some cards to show you that using it doesnt need to be difficult and with a few extras it can look totally different.
Its quite easy to follow a sketch and if you are struggling for ideas for different looking cards its a great way to get crafty.
With the Creative Crafting World Ranges the papers and cards always
coordinate beautifully together so that takes part of the worry out of it for you.
For my first card I used the ever so cute Paper Boutique Icy Breeze Collection. I matted up the card with Lynda's White Card too for a fresh Crisp Effect. I followed the sketch exactly here and added a couple of embellishments to finish it off.
You can use sketches with the Amazing Pollyanna Pickering Collections as well. This Pheasant and the papers are from The Sketchbook IV Woodland Birds Series.
I have added to this card Lyndas Kraft Card , flowers from this die set and the Thinking of You from this die set.
For the last card I rotated the sketch 90 degrees so it looks slightly different.
I have used the super cute Hint of a Hoot Collection for this card.
My cards were made using 6 x 6 and 8 x 8 cardstock.
I hope this post has helped you to think more about how top work on the layout of your cards. Please feel free to use the sketch.
Thanks for dropping by,
